    Yes! We encourage you to exchange cell numbers with your child’s camp counselor when you meet them. They can then briefly let you know how they are doing and hopefully send you a few cute photos during the week. They are however not allowed to use their phones except during their break time, so the call would be brief.

    Sorry, we’re having so much fun at Special Camps, there’s just no time for our nurse’s or camp director to call everyone back.  If we have any questions, concerns or if your child does become homesick, we will contact you to get more information on how to help your child.

    Campers are allowed but not encouraged to bring a cell phone to call home, though please don’t pack if they can’t leave it in the dorm. Phones are only allowed during afternoon break time from 1 – 2 pm  or briefly in the late evening after showers about 8:30 pm. No phone call means we’re having a great time at camp.
