Special Camps Benefits
210 campers with intellectual disabilities and autism are empowered to develop increased social skills, self-esteem and independence through new activities alongside their teen volunteer in weeklong, overnight camps.
205 families receive week-long respite. Knowing their child is lovingly cared for with 24-hour loving care, from trained volunteers and RN nurses. For many families, this is their only source of respite.
120 Teenagers and 55 Adult volunteers report life-changing insights from living beside the campers they serve. Adult leaders run activities, reside within dorms, and RN nurses dispense all medications and treatments.
140 people with intellectual disabilities living in local group homes and our Special Camps friends enjoy fun, loving Christmas and Easter parties.
Special Camps is a 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit organization. Donations are deductible to the fullest extent of current tax law.
